Please join us for the annual Lake Wingra Cleanup on Earth Day weekend! Brought to you by Friends of Lake Wingra and Wingra Boats.

When: Saturday, April 25th, 10am-noon
Where: Wingra Boats, 824 Knickerbocker St.
What: Clean up the lake along the shoreline from a watercraft. Trash bags, gloves and grabbers provided.
Why: Garbage finds its way into the lake through storm sewers and littering, and spring is a great time to retrieve it!

Wingra Boats will be providing canoes and kayaks for the volunteers, which can be reserved here. If you have your own watercraft, there is no need to RSVP or make a reservation.

All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent in their boat.

There will be gloves and trash bags for everyone that shows up, and some large buckets and 16 trash “grabbers” to loan as well. If you have a bucket and trash grabber of your own, please bring it so there will be more to go around.

We look forward to getting the lake cleaned up and ready for the paddling season!
