- Edgewood University
- Without support from Edgewood University, FoLW would have faced extra difficulty in our earlier years. For years, they acted as our fiscal agent until we evolved into our own independent 501c3. We also work with liaisons at Edgewood to coordinate invasive species removal, gather advice when needed, and look for opportunities to have students help with our work!

- Arboretum
- We constantly connect with the Arboretum to share our respective projects and work. Sometimes this includes providing volunteers for invasive species removal or collaborating on monitoring programs or educational projects.
- Center for Limnology
- Most recently we check in with their experts when we have questions or need an opinion on a chloride issue.
- Morgridge Institute
- Every fall and spring we utilize Badger Volunteers to help us accomplish a variety of tasks throughout the watershed!

- UW Extension
- We’ve worked with UW Extension to help with past strategic planning and also look for ways to use some of their programs to help our volunteers make an impact in the watershed. Storm drain stenciling is one example!

Government and Agencies
- City of Madison Public Health Department
- This agency provides us with data and can answer questions when we write articles about beach closures or chloride levels.
- City of Madison Engineering Division
- We meet quarterly with Engineering to discuss upcoming projects in the watershed, discuss issues that need attention or collaboration, and identify ways we can help each other implement the Wingra Watershed Management Plan.
- City of Madison Streets and Recycling
- Streets works hard to collect our leaves in the fall and keep our streets salt wise and safe in the winter. We check in to see where we can help raise awareness. In Fall 2019 our volunteers went door to door in the Vilas/Greenbush neighborhoods to raise awareness about a pilot that would assess how a modified leaf collection effort could work during weekly on-street parking restrictions.
