2019 Wingra Creek Cleanup

Weather Update: We will brave the elements and have this event, rain, shine, or snow! Event will end in the case of constant heavy downpour or lightning. If you’re feeling adventurous, make sure to bring rain gear. Your safety is our top priority so please only come if you feel safe walking on potential wet terrain and transporting yourself to the event.
Wingra Creek Cleanup is a fun paddle between Lakes Wingra and Monona. Help us keep it beautiful too! You can participate by boat or on foot. We’ll provide gloves, trash bags and a water dispenser. Please bring a refillable water bottle to help reduce waste!
Where?
We will meet at the Strand parking lot on Plaenert Drive, about 0.2 miles west of Park St. Please check our event page at www.lakewingra.org for inclement weather updates the day of.
B.Y.O.B (bring your own boat)! Rentals are not available. A canoe/kayak launch is located on the southeast side of the pedestrian bridge.
Who?
Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly event! No RSVP is necessary, but it would help us plan work stations. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To RSVP contact Casey at [email protected]
